About Us

Who We Are

The Iasi Testing Community (ISTC) was born from the enthusiasm of some passionate software testing specialists from Iasi, Romania, representing some leading regional software development enterprises such as OSF Global ServicesPremium Software and RomSoft.

Our main objective is to create and grow an organic software testing community, to encourage easy communication, natural exchange of ideas and knowledge sharing among its members.

Also, we want to identify more easily the specialty domains of software testing and to encourage specialized discussion groups and topics on our forum, so that every question is asked to the right person and thus  has improved chances to be answered correctly.

We will try, as best as we can, to disseminate software testing techniques and testing tools to information science students, in order to help them get easier access to the employment market, where usually expectations are very high.

We came to appreciate that competition is good but cooperation is even better. Being part of a community allows us to access a larger knowledge base, widens our horizon and helps us benefit from a richer experience. We live in a world where communication happens in a blink of an eye and we'd have to be very presumptuous to think that there's still place for keeping secrets in software testing technologies (or any other domain for that matter).

New Members

We are proud to say that on June 8th 2013 we had a very successful first edition of ISTC - Iasi Testing Community.

For future ISTC editions, we will most happily welcome new members. Please write to us at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  if you wish to join us.

Event Format

From the experience of this first edition, we are pretty sure that a "workshop" event format is most agreeable to all of us, and a maximum of two generic themes can be covered. For future editions, we want to cut on theoretical discussions/presentations and allow more time for practical issues, exercises and simulations.

However, these are just some thoughts and we're definitely opened to other ideas, so please, feel free to share. :)

Become a Speaker

At any time, we welcome new speakers and ideas for presentations. If you want to propose a new theme or to fathom an already discussed subject, please feel free to write us at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
